Abstract
Attending Spine Surgeon, William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, MI and Orthopaedic Director, Harold W. Gehring Center for Biomechanical Research and Implant Analysis, Adjunct Faculty, Bioengineering Center, Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. The use of polymethylmethacrylate in the spine as part of either a vertebroplasty or a kyphoplasty procedure has not been approved by the FDA.
