Nous avons d’abord clos notre étude des lieux de culte et communautés religieuses dans le Levant central par ses zones septentrionales (de la Haute Galilée à l’Anti‑Liban en passant par le mont Hermon). Leurs sanctuaires peri/ extra‑urbains et villageois attestent de traditions culturelles diverses et de pratiques et formes d’organisation religieuses qui renvoient à des référents culturels mêlés et posent des questions de traductibilité. Le deuxième semestre a été consacré à un bilan des changements et interactions religieux dans le monde romain oriental étudiés pendant une vingtaine d’années. Quatre thèmes, entrelacés, ont été choisis pour leur capacité à cristalliser à la fois les conditions de ces changements et leurs manifestations en termes religieux – entre l’impact religieux de l’arrivée de l’imperium romain dans les cités et des dynamiques rituelles et théologiques.
