Abstract
The theory of decisions under incomplete information comes to explain and to improve decision processes. It is a part of the methodology of the social sciences and the social technologies. Information may be incomplete as items in it are missing, incorrect, or vague. All sets of information relevant to decisions are incomplete. The theory is developed under strong idealizations that do not impede its applicability.
