Né à Nantes en 1939, Jean-Paul Barbe est professeur émérite de langue, littérature et civilisation des pays germaniques à l'université de Nantes.Après des études à Rennes et àTubingen, il devient agrégé d'allemand en 1962 et est assistant puis maître de conférences à l'université de Nantes de 1967 à 1981.En 1982, il soutient sa thèse d'État en Sorbonne : le Voyage imaginaire véhicule de la satire et de l'utopie dans les pays de langue allemande de 1770 à 1805.Professeur à l'université d'Angers (1982)(1983)(1984), puis à Nantes (1985)(1986)(1987)(1988)(1989)(1990)(1991)(1992)(1993)(1994)(1995)(1996)(1997)(1998)(1999), il est le fondateur et le directeur jusqu'en 1999, du Centre de recherches sur les identités nationales et l'interculturalité.Il co-organise avec Jackie Pigeaud les Entretiens de la Garenne-Lemot et il en co-édite les actes.Parmi ses publications récentes, il a édité Mémoire à trois /Erinnern ùber drei Ecken /Pomiec w troje (Nantes, Joca séria, 1996) et avec R. Bernecker,/es Intellectuels européens et la campagne d'Italie (Francfort-sur-le-Main, NodusVerlag, 1999).Carboni, Pierre Pierre Carboni est maître de conférences au département d'anglais de l'université de Nantes.Ancien élève de l'École normale supérieure,agrégé d'anglais, il a consacré sa thèse de doctorat à la notion de belles-lettres dans les écrits d'Adam Smith, Lord Kames et Hugh Blair, et analysé le rôle de la stylistique et de la littérature dans la rénovation culturelle de l'Ecosse au XVIII e siècle.Il enseigne la littérature et l'histoire culturelle du XVIir siècle, ainsi que la civilisation écossaise.Le gouvernement français l'a récemment nommé au Conseil National des Universités.Cléro, Jean-Pierre Jean-Pierre Cléro, agrégé de philosophie, est professeur à l'université de Rouen et chargé de cours à l'université de Paris -Nanterre.Il enseigne la philosophie anglaise classique et moderne.Ses
