Abstract
Édouard Glissant, écrivain et philosophe, a renouvelé la pensée de l’identité, de la race et de la relation entre cultures. Les plus importants spécialistes débattent sur la politique, l’imaginaire, les arts et la vie de Glissant. La pensée d’Édouard Glissant est aujourd’hui d’une intense actualité. L’écrivain philosophe a en effet renouvelé radicalement les conceptions de l’identité et de la race, du métissage et de la créolisation, des continents et des archipels. Son œuvre est désormais étudiée dans le monde entier. Un colloque international a réuni une vingtaine des plus importants spécialistes et de grands témoins comme Eduardo Manet et René Depestre. Les perspectives se croisent entre ces écrivains et ces chercheurs venus de la Caraïbe, des États-Unis, de Tunisie, d’Irlande, du Japon, du Canada… Ce livre reproduit leurs débats sur la politique, l’imaginaire, les arts et la vie de Glissant.
