Abstract
In view of the considerable media interest surrounding the publication of the paper from Cherkas et al. in Aging Cell (2006); 5(5):361–366, the Editors have solicited short commentaries from four experts: Peter T. Ellison at Harvard University; Peter J. Hornsby at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio; Diane Kuh at the Royal Free and University College London Medical School; and Peter M. Lansdorp at the University of British Columbia.
