Abstract
Karla Leanne Homolka, born in 1970, formed one part of a serial killer couple from the Toronto area in Canada. She and her husband, Paul Bernardo, were responsible for the sexual assault and homicide of at least three teenage girls, including Karla Homolka's own younger sister, Tammy Homolka. They are also known as the “Ken and Barbie” killers. Karla made a plea deal and was convicted to 12 years' incarceration, while Paul was convicted to life imprisonment for the murders. Karla was released in 2005.
