Abstract
Le flot de publications qui a accompagné le 350ème anniversaire de la Paix de Westphalie a mis en lumière deux renouvellements récents de l'historiographie allemande.La réévaluation de la Paix et de son importance historique montre, d'une part, combien les spécificités institutionnelles et confessionnelles du Saint-Empire sont désormais majoritairement considérées pour elles-mêmes, voire comme des prémisses d'une diversité protégée par le droit, et non plus comme de funestes facteurs de retard sur la voie de l'État-nation.Cette célébration a d'autre part permis de constater que l'étude de la guerre et plus généralement des événements s'est profondément renouvelée en dépassant deux tendances précédemment dominantes : le « toutpolitique » de l'historiographie classique et le « tout-structurel » de l'histoire sociale des années 1970.
