Abstract
Salah satu lembaga keuangan mikro syariah yang telah eksis di tanah air adalah BMT. BMT memiliki subtansi dalam dirinya yang membedakannya dengan lembaga keuangan lainnya, tidak hanya berorientasi pada pengelolaan yang profit tetapi juga mempunyai peran sosial sehingga BMT memiliki potensi yang besar untuk dapat memberdayakan masyarakat dipedesaan. Revitalisasi BMT sebagai unit usaha BUMDes sangatlah dibutuhkan untuk merealisasikan pembangunan ekonomi desa di Sulawesi selatan. Peran pentingnya yakni optimalisasi dana desa dan sentralisasi distribusi harta di setiap desa.
