Abstract
S’insérant dans une étude qui vise à valoriser la pratique de l’interprétation en danse contemporaine, il sera avant tout question de circonscrire sommairement la notion d’authenticité et les enjeux qu’elle pose dans ce domaine. Seront notamment abordés deux de ses lieux communs : sa relation avec la spontanéité et la quête vers l’origine. Appliquées à la pratique de l’interprète, ces considérations jettent les bases d’une étude en cours : comprendre l’état dans lequel se trouve l’interprète en danse au moment même où l’authenticité se manifeste. Quelles sensations vit-il lorsqu’il est dans cet état de grâce ? Dans l’espoir de saisir le sens de cette expérience particulière tout en restant proche de ceux qui la vivent, la méthode de recherche phénoménologique de Giorgi s’est graduellement imposée d’elle-même. Pourquoi est-elle appropriée à l’étude de l’authenticité de l’interprète en danse ? En quoi la description permet-elle de révéler ce qu’est cet état considérant l’immédiateté du geste ?
