Abstract
Testicular cancer is the most common malignancy in young men. Patients should be counseled about the potential for infertility, the reproductive consequences of cancer therapy and the available fertility treatment options, and should be advised to bank sperm prior to systemic therapy for testicular cancer. Patients who did not bank sperm or who are azoospermic should be offered sperm retrieval at the time of radical inguinal orchiectomy. Frozen-thawed epididymal and testicular spermatozoa have been used successfully in ICSI cycles with pregnancy rates comparable to that using ejaculated spermatozoa.
