The preparation of 4′-p-Tolyl-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine (ttpy) on page 1767 of the original article1 calls for 2.9 mL of 15 % aq. KOH and 29 mL of conc. NH4OH. These quantities are reversed and should be 29 mL for KOH and 2.9 mL for NH4OH.
