Abstract
The O.P.F.A. has, since its beginnings in the late 1950s, bestowed awards, plaques and certificates on various of its members for noteworthy service to the Association or for meritorious achievement in forestry in Ontario.Two new and significant awards were established in 1997, the Honoured Professional Award and the Forester-of-the-Year Award, to recognize the special efforts of some of your colleagues and fellow members.Following last year's call for nominations, the Recognition and Awards Committee received a number of submissions from Association members and selected two members of the Association as winners for 1999.Council is pleased to announce the following awards.
