Abstract
These poems address ideas of geographic place and home through use of stories from my family and my subjective understanding of the southwest coast of Canada. The creative form is employed as a genre that can better gesture to emotion and affect, to uncertain, multiple knowledges that are hard to pin down, and harder still to quantify. Both poems attempt to think about liminal spaces, to examine my family, my history and my place in the world by exploring both my past and present understanding of the west.
