Abstract
MusiquesÉ lue au Sénat mauritanien en 2007, Malouma a dû s'éloigner de la scène musicale durant près de sept ans.Elle y revient avec un flamboyant album international, Knou.Ses onze chansons ont lentement mûri au cours des rares moments de solitude que lui laissait son agenda politique.Elle y insuffle l'art précieux des griots qui lui vient de son père, mais sous cette forme contemporaine qui la distingue, perpétuant son aura de diva mauritanienne.Alors que paraît son nouvel album, Malouma est toujours sénatrice.Chanteuse, elle l'a toujours été, de par sa naissance au sein d'une prestigieuse lignée de griots.Mais son expérience de politicienne a aiguisé son regard sur la société : "C'est très intéressant d'aborder les problèmes du peuple de ce côté, dans la coulisse.J'apprécie de participer aux projets de lois qui sont déposés pour l'intérêt de notre peuple et de notre pays.Bien sûr, ce travail empiète sur mon activité artistique.Mais je trouve passionnant de mettre des idées au service de projets qui contribuent à changer certaines choses et à en mettre d'autres en place."
