Abstract
For the three-month period ended 30 September 2017, Lanxess posted global sales of €2.4 billion, an increase of 25.1% or €483 million compared to sales of €1.9 billion a year earlier. EBITDA pre-exceptionals improved by 35% from €257 million in 3Q 2016 to €347 million, while net income pre-exceptionals rose 37.7% from €77 million to €106 million. Boosted by the acquisition of Chemtura [ADPO, November 2016 & April 2017], the company says it remains ‘on course’ for the highest annual earnings in its history.
