Abstract
Issu d'une thèse de science politique soutenue à Halle, cet ouvrage entend rompre avec deux approches des discours politiques qui sont selon A.R. infructueuses : une approche idéaliste qui procède à une lecture internaliste et décontextualisée des textes, et une approche positiviste qui voit en eux un reflet, plus ou moins fidèle, de la réalité.À partir du cas de l'université de Halle, dont le rôle dans l'essor de la science politique en Allemagne a depuis longtemps été souligné par l'historiographie, A.R. se propose de resituer le caméralisme et la science de la police dans leur champ social et politique, afin de mesurer leur rôle dans la mise en place et l'affirmation de l'asbolutisme prussien, en recourant pour cela à la fois à la sociologie de Pierre Bourdieu, notamment à la théorie des champs, et à la problématique de la gouvernementalité de Michel Foucault.
