Abstract
Abstract A bicultural person is someone who has internalized two cultures (Brannen and Thomas, 2010). Biculturalism is a specific case of the more general construct of multiculturalism, referring to individuals who have internalized twoor morecultures. Some researchers use the term “biculturalism” in place of the more general “multiculturalism” as multiculturalism is often associated with societal‐level diversity. This passage briefly explains schema and identity approaches to defining biculturalism, bicultural identity integration dimension, and work‐related outcomes of biculturalism.
