Abstract
O presente artigo é parte do primeiro capítulo de minha monografia de bacharelado intitulada "Tempos de Angústia - Erasmo e Lutero no Início da Modernidade". O objetivo de minha pesquisa é relacionar o Humanismo Cristão e a Reforma Religiosa, partindo do debate historiográfico que reconhece serem ambos respostas às necessidades de seu tempo, marcado por uma forte angústia coletiva experimentada no período de transição do Medievo para a Modernidade, mas também pela atitude intelectual de conhecimento e ação no mundo. É este contexto que abordamos neste artigo, enfatizando os elementos que podem nos ajudar a compreender essa angústia coletiva.
