Abstract
Cet article examine les pratiques linguistiques de communautés francophones de la Saskatchewan, en posant un regard comparatif avec celles d¹autres communautés laurentiennes (en Ontario et au Québec) mais aussi en élargissant cette comparaison en y incluant des groupes francophones d’origine européenne. À partir du corpus Martineau-Mocquais, vaste enquête entreprise auprès des descendants des premiers pionniers de la Saskatchewan, nous examinons d’abord la position identitaire des locuteurs puis comparons un certain nombre d'usages linguistiques, en fonction de l’origine géographique des parents. Cet article s’intègre dans une réflexion plus générale sur la relation entre pratiques et discours linguistiques et vitalité sociolinguistique.
