Abstract
Secara geografis, Pulau Enggano berada di wilayah Samudera Indonesia yang posisi astronomisnya terletak pada 05°31'13 LS dan 102°16'00 BT. Secara administratif,Pulau Enggano termasuk dalam wilayah Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara, Provinsi Bengkulu. Enggano merupakan sebuah kecamatan di Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara dengan pusat pemerintahan berada di Desa Apoho. Luas wilayah Pulau Enggano mencapai 400,6 km² yang terdiri dari enam desa yaitu Desa Banjarsari, Meok, Apoho, Malakoni, Kaana,dan Kahyapu. Kawasan Enggano memiliki beberapa pulau-pulau kecil, yaitu Pulau Dua,Merbau, Bangkai yang terletak di sebelah barat Pulau Enggano, dan Pulau Satu yang berada di sebelah selatan Pulau Enggano. Jarak Pulau Enggano ke Ibukota Provinsi Bengkulu sekitar 156 km atau 90 mil laut, sedangkan jarak terdekat adalah ke kota Manna, Bengkulu Selatan sekitar 96 km atau 60 mil laut. Pulau Enggano tersusun oleh perbukitan bergelombang lemah, perbukitan karst, daratan dan rawa. Perbukitan bergelombang terdapat di daerah tenggara, ketinggian antara 170-220 meter, sedangkan perbukitan karst yang mempunyai ketinggian antara100-150 meter terdapat di bagian barat laut, menunjukkan morfologi yang khas dan didominasi oleh batu gamping. Di bagian utara terutama daerah pantai merupakan dataran rendah alluvial yang berawa-rawa dengan ketinggian 0-2 meter.
