Abstract
Exhibitionism is a paraphilia in which sexual arousal is derived from exposing one's genitals to an unsuspecting stranger. Those with exhibitionism have one of the highest recidivism rates amongst all sex offenders with paraphilias due to the ease with which exhibitionistic acts can be committed. Little is known about the etiology of the disorder; however, exhibitionism is often associated with other paraphilias.
