Abstract
We provide an overview of the concept of networked individualism and its core tenets. The theoretical origins of networked individualism are discussed with its current manifestation within the context of the rapid proliferation of the Internet and mobile devices. The core idea of the networked individualism concept is that society has moved away from being clustered in groups to individuals connected through loosely tied personal networks by means of digital technology.
