Abstract
Dans cette société postmoderne, il n’est pas évident de se construire. Dès lors, lorsque l’individu ne suit pas la trajectoire attendue, son identité n’en est que plus fragile. Dans cette recherche, nous nous penchons sur l’élaboration identitaire de jeunes adultes en mobilité sociale ascendante. Pour approcher cette problématique, nous nous interrogeons sur le vécu de trois sujets récemment diplômés et insérés professionnellement. Pour ce faire, nous nous inscrivons dans une démarche compréhensive qui prend appui sur une technique narrative, à savoir le récit de vie. Nous approfondissons les épisodes et événements de la vie des sujets, ainsi que les référents identitaires probants. Enfin, nous analysons le contenu des histoires de vie au regard de modèles de la construction identitaire inscrits dans la sociologie clinique. Par ailleurs, tout au long de cet article, nous explicitons nos ancrages épistémologiques et nous développons le cheminement méthodologique suivi.
