Abstract
Climate change is becoming an increasingly impactful reality in Canada.According to the Canada's Changing Climate Report 2019 1 published by the federal government, Canada is warming up twice as fast than any other region on Earth.These fast changes will transform our physical environment and threaten our architectural heritage and infrastructures.Through research done with Professor Mariana Esponda over the last year at Carleton University, a number of climate change factors have been found which affect different Canadian regions and heritage sites.While some sites are affected by one or two threats related to their location, we singled out one region that is influenced by many factors at the same time.Forillon National Park in the Gaspésie Peninsula is at the forefront of climate change.
