Loss zones and cementation hurdles require innovative solutions, even for vertical wells.The methods by which the field is to be exploited by predominantly vertical wells are outlined. The limitations faced in designing these wells are set out. The corresponding subjects of further technology development are catalogued.Delivery of this paper encourages an environment for reception of feedback from both experts and suppliers to assist in planning a path to obtaining solutions and putting these into practice.
