Abstract
Le film ethnographique suppose une responsabilité éthique du réalisateur envers l’« autre » inclus dans son film, est souvent basé sur de longues recherches et implique une posture de rapprochement vers l’« autre ». L’histoire du film ethnographique est imbriquée dans l’évolution des questionnements anthropologiques (subjectivité de l’anthropologue, représentation) et des technologies (invention de la caméra à l’épaule, du son synchronisé, cinéma vérité). Il existe plusieurs genres de films ethnographiques (observationnels, participatifs, sensoriels, expérimentaux).
