Abstract
Dans de nombreuses régions de l’OCDE, les migrations internationales jouent un rôle majeur vis-à-vis de l’évolution de la démographie et du capital humain. Ces dix dernières années, l’emploi de migrants diplômés de l’enseignement supérieur a fortement augmenté, notamment sous l’effet de l’évolution des politiques migratoires en faveur de l’entrée de travailleurs hautement qualifiés. Les différences relevées entre les régions sur le plan de la distribution régionale des individus hautement qualifiés nés à l’étranger sont particulièrement marquées au Mexique, aux États-Unis, en Espagne, au Canada et en Allemagne (). En dépit de la forte augmentation récente des flux d’immigrants peu qualifiés en provenance d’Amérique du Sud, les régions espagnoles affichent, en moyenne, la même proportion de migrants hautement qualifiés que d’autres pays d’Europe du Sud comme l’Italie et le Portugal.
