Liquens como bioindicadores da qualidade do ar na Avenida Conde da Boa Vista e Praça Oswaldo Cruz, Recife-PE

Abstract
Os liquens são considerados excelentes bioindicadores de poluição atmosférica, respondendo de forma específica a diversas fontes poluentes. O objetivo deste trabalho foi realizar o monitoramento de liquens presentes nas árvores da Avenida Conde da Boa Vista (ponto A) e da Praça Oswaldo Cruz (ponto B), Recife – PE. A coleta foi realizada de setembro/ 2015 a fevereiro/ 2016, demarcando todas as árvores, identificando botanicamente e observando a presença de liquens. Os liquens foram medidos e a porcentagem foi corrigida quanto à rugosidade da casca através do índice de correção, e calculando o grau de cobertura corrigido. Foram encontradas no total 119 árvores, das quais 79 no ponto A, pertencentes a cinco espécies; e 40 no ponto B, pertencentes a sete espécies. Relacionando as classes do grau de cobertura, obteve-se no ponto A (1,32%), considerado um deserto de liquens, com poluição muito intensa. O ponto B (16,25%) foi considerado uma zona intermediária de poluição média. Dessa forma, existe uma necessidade de conhecimento da situação ambiental das áreas de estudo, verificando o inter-relacionamento das atividades antrópicas e seus reflexos no meio ambiente.
