Abstract
Subject Prospects for Latin America in the third quarter. Significance A series of downward revisions in regional growth prospects in recent months is linked primarily to the woes of many of the larger economies. Widespread protests over corruption across much of the region and citizen dissatisfaction with political and economic management suggest that no rapid recovery is in prospect.
