Abstract
Desde sua origem, a Fotografia tem passado por constantes transformações que interferem na atuação o fotógrafo, essas mudanças facilitam o exercício da função, ao mesmo tempo, exigem do profissional um esforço para adaptar-se à nova realidade apresentada. No fotojornalismo, o ápice do trabalho está no momento decisivo, termo criado por Henri Cartier-Bresson, compreendido como a síntese do fato jornalístico cristalizado pela imagem. O avanço tecnológico tem facilitado a captação desse momento. Sobretudo, através da filmagem em HD (high definition), e posterior seleção do fotograma que melhor representa o acontecimento. Com o objetivo de lançar um olhar sobre essa questão, recorre-se ao conceito de métis, que pode ser entendida como uma espécie de inteligência voltada para a ação prática, um conjunto complexo de atitudes mentais que envolve astúcia e prudência. Nesse sentido, considera-se que a métis é uma competência essencial para a atuação no fotojornalismo. O aporte metodológico adotado consiste na pesquisa bibliográfica sobre o tema em análise.
