Abstract
Election for a new slate of officers will take place at the business meeting and mixer during the ESA Annual Meeting in August 2009 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Date and time for the meeting will be announced shortly. Members please submit nominations for Vice-Chair and Secretary two weeks prior to the meeting to Karen Yee, at E-mail: [email protected]. The specific duties for Vice-Chair and Secretary are indicated below. The Vice-Chairperson shall arrange the scientific program, including field excursions, for all meetings of the Chapter, in consultation with the Executive Committee, and shall assume the duties of the Chairperson whenever that person is unable to act. The Vice-Chairperson shall serve for a term of two years and then assume the duties of the Chair for the following two years. The Secretary shall keep the records of the Chapter, including a current membership, affiliations, and electronic mailing list. The Secretary shall edit a newsletter for communication of Chapter activities. The Secretary shall serve for a term of two years, and shall be eligible for reelection.
