This dispute dealt with Korea’s import bans and additional certification requirements after the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident in the Japan’s northeastern coast in 2011. This report is in continuation of the case in the last volume of this yearbook. The United States, the European Union (EU), Norway, New Zealand, India, the Russian Federation, Chinese Taipei, China, Guatemala, Canada, and Brazil have reserved their rights to participate as third parties. On 21 March 2015, Japan requested consultations with Korea on certain alleged measures that Korea adopted immediately after the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident that were inconsistent with the World Trade Organization (WTO) Agreement on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS Agreement).
