Abstract
Semakin berkembangnya zaman, industri kian bertambah dari mulai industri produksi skala kecil hingga skala yang besar. Dalam skala apapun pada setiap proses produksi industri tentu menghasilkan produk limbah. Salah satu limbah hasil proses produksi industri adalah emisi yang dibuang ke udara bebas dari cerobong asap. Salah satu kebutuhan manusia adalah udara yang bersih dari bahan pencemar. Semakin berkembangnya zaman, industri kian bertambah dari mulai indsutri produksi skala yang kecil hingga skala yang besar. Dalam skala kecil ataupun besar pada proses produksi industri tentu akan menghasilkan produk limbah. Salah satu limbah yang dihasilkan dari proses produksi industri adalah emisi yang dibuang ke udara bebas dari stack pabrik.Industri petrokimia merupakan industri yang berjalan dengan menghasilkan suatu produk industri kimia organik yang merupakan bahan baku industri polymer, dengan menggunakan bahan baku dasar berasal dari hasil pengolahan minyak dan gas bumi (gas alam), produk pencairan batubara, bahkan sekarang sedang dikembangkan oleokimia berbasis biomassa.
