Il y a une dizaine d'annes, Jocelyne Porcher s'tait fait connatre par un premier ouvrage leveurs et animaux, rinventer le lien 7 (voir mon compte rendu dans tudes rurales 169-170, pp. 309-314), dans lequel elle analysait les dgts d'un levage moderne de plus en plus industrialis soumettant les leveurs comme les animaux une pression productiviste gnratrice de stress. Elle revient aujourd'hui la charge avec un nouveau livre, en partie autobiographique, la fois plus accessible et plus synthtique, et comportant une dimension programmatique.
