Cet article se propose d’analyser certains aspects formels et rhétoriques des carnets de tournage d’Hiroshima mon amour de Sylvette Baudrot. En particulier, il montre comment ces cahiers créent un espace où s’entrecroisent différentes formes de récits mélancoliques et paradoxaux. L’analyse des effets que ces carnets de tournage visent à produire chez le lecteur, permet de définir la figure d’un auteur assumant une posture éthique particulière : celle d’un artisan de récits qui prépare minutieusement le monde nouveau tout en s’effaçant, « un scribe de l’avenir », tel le Bartleby de Melville.
