Abstract
Entre el poder, el cambio y el orden social en la Nueva Granada colonial. Estudios de caso es uno de los pocos libros publicados en el 2013 sobre la denominada “historia colonial”, ya que hoy por hoy los estudios centrados en la independencia de España y el tránsito al republicanismo están de moda. Se trata de una recopilación de artículos de la cual Diana Bonnett Vélez, Nelson Fernando González Martínez y Carlos Gustavo Hinestroza González son los coordinadores. De hecho, la obra reúne nueve artículos que abordan variados temas propios del período colonial. Al momento de la publicación todos los autores poseían une maestría en Historia con excepción de Diana Bonnett Vélez quien es doctora en la misma disciplina. Siete de los nueve autores han tenido un vínculo, como estudiantes o profesores, con el departamento de Historia de la Universidad de los Andes.
