Par le prisme d’une sociologie de la justification (Boltanski et Thévenot, 1991), cette contribution entend révéler une manière particulière de qualifier le monde à laquelle les individus et les groupes sociaux ont recours pour faire valoir des qualités lorsqu’ils s’essaient à (re)formuler le sens de l’intérêt général. En l’occurrence, la révision participative et délibérative du Schéma d’aménagement de développement de Québec mobilise non seulement les préceptes du développement durable mais détermine encore une forme d’écologisation des normes et pratiques en matière de gestion territoriale.
