Zusammenfassung: Die Erfassung der Exekutivfunktionen bei älteren Menschen ist von zentraler Bedeutung, da Defizite in kognitiven Kontroll- und Regulationsprozessen nicht nur einen neurodegenerativen Abbauprozess ankündigen, sondern auch Alltagstätigkeiten beeinträchtigen können. Durch etablierte Screeningverfahren wie Mini-Mental-State-Examination (MMSE) oder Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) wird dieser heterogene Funktionsbereich jedoch nur eingeschränkt erfasst. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde die Klassifikationswahrscheinlichkeit dieser Tests mit dem Screeningverfahren für Exekutivfunktionen (SEF) in einer geriatrischen Stichprobe verglichen. Ähnlich dem MMSE und MoCA, verfügte auch der SEF über eine gute klinische Akzeptanz und Handhabbarkeit. Ein Zusammenhang des neuen Screeningverfahrens zeigte sich mit den exekutiven MoCA-Items. Dabei teilt der SEF nicht die geringe Spezifität des MoCA und ermöglicht daher eine umfassendere Beurteilung exekutiver Funktionen von geriatrischen Patient_innen.
