Abstract
Starting in March 2020 a state of sanitary emergency was declared in Colombia as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. This article proposes a critical look at the role that art can play in contexts of isolation and social distancing. First, it questions the capacity of images to weave a sense of community and incite action when bodies cannot occupy the street. Subsequently, it considers the case of home projections, particularly those of the group La Nueva Banda de la Terraza, in Medellín, and their use of luminous language and images as a means of protest.
