Abstract
Vitamin A adalah zat gizi yang paling esensial, hal itu dikarenakan konsumsi makanan kita belum mencukupi dan masih rendah sehingga harus dipenuhi dari luar. Kekurangan vitamin A (KVA) akan meningkatkan kesakitan dan kematian, mudah terserang penyakit infeksis eperti diare, radang paru – paru, ,dan akhirnya kematian. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Hubungan Pengetahuan Ibu Dengan Pemberian Vitamin A Pada Balita Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas TanjungUncang. Penelitian ini bersifat Cross Sectional, tempat penelitian di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tanjung Uncang dari bulanFebruari-September 2020, populasi penelitian adalah ibu yang mempunyai balita berusia 1-5 tahun. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling, jumlah sampel 98 respon den telah diuji validitas yang digunakan yaitu analisa chi-square. Hasil Bivariat yakni dari 98 responden diperoleh 58 responden yang berpengetahuan kurang (59,2%) dan ibu yang berpengetahuan baik 40 responden (40,8%), dari 98 responden yang tidak memberikan vitamin A yakni 53 responden (54,1%) dan yang memberikan vitamin A 45 responden (45,9%). Hasil bivariat terdapat ada hubungan antara Hubungan Pengetahuan Ibu Dengan Pemberian Vitamin A Pada Bali adengan analisis chi-square p-value 0,000<0,0. Kesimpulan terjadi Hubungan Pengetahuan Ibu Dengan Pemberian Vitamin A Pada Balita Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tanjung Uncang Kota Batam Tahun 2020. Saran bagi UPTD Puskesmas Tanjung Uncang diharapkan lebih optimal dalam menyampaikan informasi khusunya tentang pemberian vitamin A pada balita.Kata kunci :Ibu, Pemberian, Vitamin A
