Abstract
Cet article prend pour sujet un lieu emblématique du positivisme parisien : la Maison d’Auguste Comte, dernier domicile du philosophe. Son appartement, domicile « sacré », a été à la fois une « église », un lieu de réunion pour les positivistes, de pèlerinage pour beaucoup d’entre eux, avant de devenir, dans la seconde moitié du XX e siècle, une « maison d’illustre » ouverte au public et à la visite. L’enjeu est ici de comprendre le passage du « saint domicile » du vivant de Comte à la « maison-musée », classée monument historique. Ou comment le pèlerin positiviste a laissé place au visiteur curieux.
