Abstract
Mémoire de fille d’Annie Ernaux ne relate pas seulement la détresse d’une « fille de 58 » confrontée à une sexualité qu’elle n’a pas imaginée et qu’elle subit avec sidération. Le récit explore en outre les formes qu’a pu prendre une absence à soi-même caractéristique des années 1950. Dans le domaine de la sexualité et de la guerre coloniale, cette détresse symbolique si particulière guide l’écriture d’Ernaux au-delà du sociologisme que son œuvre avait privilégié jusque-là.
