À partir de données d’enquête collectées auprès de 2 001 jeunes LGBTQI, cet article brosse un portrait de leurs expériences scolaires, évoquant leur victimation, leur représentation dans les contenus d’apprentissage et leur capacité à exercer leur citoyenneté. Deux constats ressortent de ces analyses. D’abord, les jeunes trans, non binaires et intersexes sont significativement vulnérabilisé·e·s par et dans dans la sphère scolaire. Ensuite, l’Éducation nationale contribue à alimenter ces vulnérabilités en limitant l’appréhension des violences aux épisodes de « haine anti-LGBT » et en misant sur l’égalité filles-garçons, une approche différentialiste qui reconduit une bicatégorisation des sexes et une présomption d’hétérosexualité.
