Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Abstract The method of moments has been used for a long time to describe the chain length averages of polymers made via different mechanism. This article describes a mathematical analysis method to derive the simplest general expression for the moments of the chain length distribution of linear polyolefins made with single‐site‐type coordination catalysts. It also shows how to use this general solution for polyolefins made with multiple‐site‐type coordination catalysts. More importantly, this article advocates the use of elegant solutions in polymerization reaction engineering, which are deceivingly simple mathematical equations that capture the most essential information about complex polymerization systems. Elegant solutions shine more light on the phenomena they are modeling than more complex and computational demanding methods.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
