Adenyl nitrourea in molecular recognition of fluoride and pyruvate

Abstract
Adenyl urea derivative 1, which exhibits anion interaction, has been synthesized and characterized. With reference to the earlier reported compounds 2 and 3, compound 1 shows interaction to basic anions F − and pyruvate in CHCl 3 . The binding interaction has been illustrated by fluorescence, UV–vis, and 1 H NMR spectroscopic methods. The conformational behavior and the binding features of 1 with F − and pyruvate in CHCl 3 are explained by theoretical study.
