Abstract
Que ressent-on lorsque l’on passe ses journées face à un écran avec pour mission de faire sourire des publics connectés ? Et, si ressentis il y a, peut-on observer des pratiques spécifiques pour les gérer au mieux, voire en faire un levier de performance ? Cet article interroge le potentiel travail émotionnel des professionnels de la communication numérique, en particulier des gestionnaires de communautés ou community managers. Au travers de l’analyse d’un corpus de 22 entretiens, et de données en provenance de pages Facebook et de comptes Twitter d’organisations francophones, nous proposons de considérer ce travail comme un ensemble de pratiques et de tactiques visant à désaffecter les situations et interactions qui les touchent, mais aussi leurs publics comme les espaces numériques des organisations qu’ils représentent. Le travail émotionnel devient dès lors un travail de médiation documentaire, technique et épistémique.
