Bu çalışma, erken bir dönemde yazılmasına rağmen âlî ve nâzil isnad meselesini başlığına taşıyan ilk ve tek makale olma özelliği taşımaktadır. Yazar bu çalışmada hadis usûlü eserlerinin bir konuyu işlerken ortaya koydukları farklı bakış açılarını tespite çalışmaktadır. Bunu da Râmehürmüzî, Hâkim en-Nîsâbûrî ve İbnü’s-Salâh’ın hadis usûlü kaynaklarını karşılaştırarak yapmaktadır. Bu kaynaklarda âlî ve nâzil isnad konularındaki örnekler ve kullanılan kavramları incelemektedir. Yazar, Râmehürmüzî döneminde ilim yolculuklarında âlî isnadın arandığını ve bu kavramın rihlelerle birebir ilişkilendirildiğini belirmiştir. Ayrıca aynı yüzyılın sonlarına doğru âlî isnadın bir kavram olarak durgunlaştığını iddia etmektedir. Bazı orijinal değerlendirmelerinin bulunması ve âlî isnadı kavramdaki gelişimi açısından incelemesi sebebiyle bu çalışmanın Türkçeye kazandırılmasına ihtiyaç duyulmuştur
