 Penurunan keterampilan masyarakat dalam menapis asli khas pepadun merupakan tantangan dalam pelestarian kain tapis asli budaya asli Lampung. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pengrajin tapis pemula dalam menapis asli khas pepadun dengan menggunakan papan tekang di Desa Negeri Katon Kecamatan Negeri Katon Kabupaten Pesawaran. Pelatihan luring dilakukan dengan melibatkan 15 orang pengrajin pemula kain tapis khas pepadun. Tahapan pelatihan dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Bahan dan alat utama yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini terdiri atas paket alat tekang tapis yang terdiri atas benang mas, benang biasa, kain, jarum, gunting, dan papan tekang tapis. Instruktur pelatihan ini adalah pengrajin senior kain tapis asli khas pepadun yang sekaligus sebagai koordinator pengrajin kain tapis Desa Negeri Katon yang tergabung dalam kelompok Tapis Jejama. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pengrajin pemula kain tapis asli khas pepadun di Desa Negeri Katon memiliki dasar keterampilan menapis kain tapis asli khas pepadun, namun keterampilan tersebut selama ini kurang terasah. Keterampilan mendesain motif tapis asli pepadun dan menjahit merupakan keterampilan dasar yang harus terus dilatih para pengrajin pemula. Pengrajin pemula kain tapis asli khas pepadun mengungkapkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan ini telah menggugah kembali kesadaran mereka terhadap kegiatan menapis sebagai budaya asli Lampung, serta membaharui keterampilan mereka dalam menapis dengan menggunakan papan tekang.
