En France, un actif sur quatre a été en télétravail dès le début du premier confinement le 16 mars 2020 (DARES, avril 2020). Avant la crise, le télétravail présentait, en tant que mode d’organisation à distance, des bénéfices (réduction des temps de transport, délégation, développement de l’autonomie, qualité de vie au travail) et des risques (isolement, porosité de la frontière vie privée-vie professionnelle, surcharge de travail, perte de lien social) que la littérature avait identifiés (Tremblay 2001, Vayre 2019). En période de crise sanitaire, il s’agit d’une forme de télétravail contraint, à temps plein, parfois dégradé qui présente de nouveaux risques dont les risques psychosociaux. L’objectif de cette recherche est d’analyser le télétravail contraint pendant le confinement en France et ses conséquences en tant que nouvel agencement organisationnel et relation managériale modifiée, sur l’émergence éventuelle de risques psychosociaux. Nous formulons ainsi l’hypothèse que les organisations (managers et service RH) n’ont pas suffisamment formalisé la mise en place du télétravail dans un but de prévention des risques psychosociaux. Ainsi, l’absence d’accompagnement organisationnel serait un facteur de risque. Cette étude quantitative conduite en deux temps, révèle que la communication et la formalisation ont été insuffisantes pour une prévention efficace des risques et que l’évolution des conditions de travail a abouti à des situations nouvelles de stress, d’augmentation de la charge de travail, d’hyperconnectivité, d’isolement, sources de risques psychosociaux.
